2010 BYU-Idaho Presidents Club

Every year generous people give money to BYU-Idaho, and those people who have given a specific amount or more to the School are invited to Presidents Club. Around 200+ people show up and all need a boutonnière or corsage. The BYUI floral team takes about a total of 8-9 hours creating the boutonnière's and corsages and flower arrangements to be set up in the dining area.

This year our team of florist in training created over 200 corsages and more then 220 boutonniere's for our guests who lovingly have provided a more inexpensive way for students to go to school at BYU-Idaho.

A cool design

Just something I thought was cool to look at from all angles.

A Butterfly's Garden

I took a long tin container and put oasis in it. I then surrounded the edge of it with green chrysanthemums. I then filled in with roses and static then made a back 'wall' with bear grass and solidago. I used green sprayed peat-moss to fill in the gaps not wanting to use leather leaf as I normally do. The peat moss added a nice garden-ie look.

Rose and Gerbera Garden

After seeing a bamboo planter that weaved in and out of it self i was inspired to tie and wire gerbera's at strange angles and add roses in all on a pice of wet floral foam. The foam is all covered up with peatmoss sprayed green in a cermamic contaner.

2009 Christmas

A rubber plant in a double basket with Christmas greens, pine cones, and red ribbon in the other half of the basket. Peat-moss is used to cover up the pot that the plant is in and the container that the greens are held in.

Romney's Insperation

This floral arrangement was inspired by Brother Romney. It was made my first day back at work at Hy-Vee's Flower shop in Fremont. In the attempt to make this appear to be a Japanese flower arrangement I used three spider daises at 40 degree agnles of each other for the, "God, Heaven, Earth" and used smaller flora around the bottom. This was all done in a ceramic dish with the help of wet floral foam.

Simple Arrangement

A simple flower arrangement done in my Hort 335 Flower Lab. Used are carnations, daises, leather leaf and ribbon in floral foam.

Natalie's Dish

Large spider daisy in front and in back with leather leaf, statice and other small daises designed in a sallow basin with a large wired violet flower sticking out of the top.

Mother's Joy

Made using artificial flowers, dry foam, a glass dish, and pan glue.
